If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it matter if it stutters from the pain?
The Stutter of a Fallen Tree is curated by Jeffrey Choy, who gathered a group of Hong Kong Artists to explore dissolving roots and the way we grieve, through the distinctive lens of Hong Kong’s geopolitical history and disorientation following the collapse of familiarity. The “stutter” in the exhibition’s title describes the inability to articulate journeys too personal to connect directly.
Presented at NGO DEI Den Haag, The Stutter of a Fallen Tree is a cross-vocational exhibition with works across Visual Arts, Installations, Written and Spoken Text, Sound Arts, Movement Arts from artists from Hong Kong.
